What is OpenEV?

Website Update

The website has been updated to reflect changes in the project over the past six months. Notable changes include: Vexcel no longer invloved with OpenEV, updates to both People and Projects pages, mirror to Mario Beauchamp's tools, and FWTools is now the recommended download.

Classification Tools Development

Ned Horning of the American Museum of Natural History writes, "The main focus of this work is to provide basic image classification, image editing, and profile/spectral/temporal plotting capabilities. We plan to provide both unsupervised (ISODATA) and supervised (Maximum likelihood) options. The code will be written so that additional classification algorithms can be integrated as well." More...

New Website

Welcome to the new web site! The goal of the site was to keep it as simple as possible for easy maintence, but to also create something a bit more modern and stylish. It uses a very simple PHP script and a CSS style sheet. The site was developed by Steve Rawlinson.

Fusion Tool - Major Update

FWTools 0.9.9 Released

August 15, 2005

The FWTools 0.9.9 release is now available. FWTools is a packaged build including recent snapshots of OpenEV, MapServer, GDAL, PROJ.4 and a variety of underlying packages. It aims to be "cutting edge" with recent developments and also to include as many optional formats as practical. It also includes a complete Python instance, and python binding support for GDAL and MapServer.

It should work smoothly on Windows, and most 32bit Intel Linux platforms regardless of native packaging system.
